Company History
Book Promotion and Service, the first iGroup company, was formed in 1983 in Bangkok to market and distribute books in Thailand and neighbouring countries.  The company soon included other products and services including library automation systems and distribution of electronic information delivered on CDROM and later, intranet and the internet.
As the business volume grew, local companies were opened to support existing customers and to grow the business. From the late 1980s to the mid 1990s, offices were opened in Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam.
The iGroup was formally incorporated in mid-1999 in recognition that the many individual companies of the group could benefit from a formal image and infrastructure to share resources. Shinwon Datanet, a privately owned company in South Korea also joined the iGroup.
The latest additions to the iGroup companies are offices in China (Beijing and Shanghai), Indonesia, Australia, India and Japan.
The iGroup focuses on the knowledge management and the information industry, and caters to the needs of our customers: librarians, students, academics, educators, scientists and research professionals.
Personnel and Customer Base
The iGroup has a total staff force of approximately 600.  They include librarians, software engineers, publishers, business management professionals and information management experts.
Historically our core customers are academic institutions and libraries.  Today, we have expanded into healthcare, government, research and corporate markets.
Throughout the region, we estimate that we have more than 1,000 institutional customers.
Core Competencies
The iGroup (Asia Pacific) is a leading distributor of print and digital research information in the Asia Pacific region, including books, research databases, ebooks and ejournals.
The iGroup is also a publisher of original books on Asian culture, cuisine and language. It also publishes books on business management, distributes textbooks for leading US and UK publishers, and translates academic books into local languages including Chinese and Thai.
The iGroup’s library technology team has developed multilingual library automation software. The team  also works with libraries to deliver security and materials flow management services based on RFID technology.

负责国外学术类数据库的市场推广、产品演示和客户培训，以及相关业务咨询和服务。

岗位要求：

Ø生命科学/医学/信息情报/机械/电子/化工/工程类本科毕业生以上学历；

Ø 有良好的沟通、表达，学习、适应能力；

Ø 工作积极主动并能独立处理工作状况、注重团队合作

Ø 熟练使用Office等软件，能出差；

Ø 英语6级以上，有较强的听、说、读、写实际应用能力。

Foreign Database Sales Specialist

Location: beijing， Shanghai

Responsibilities

Ø Be responsible to promote foreign academic databases in China

Ø Conduct sales visits, product demonstration, customer training and the related consulting and service work.

Requirements:

Ø Bachelor Degree or above in life science, medicine, machinery, electronics, chemicals, engineering or other related areas.

Ø Good communication skills, learning and adaptation ability, strong independent working ability and team spirit

Ø Familiar with Microsoft Office software

Ø Willing to travel

Ø Good command of English (CET-6 or above is a must)
